Since it was established in 1988, Soebagjo Jatim Djarot (SJD) has been one of Indonesia’s premier commercial law firms. SJD has grown to prominence having acted for many major businesses and investors in Indonesia.

SJD is a full service corporate law firm providing expertise in all areas of business and commercial practice. SJD’s partners are prominent in Indonesian business and academic circles, and are active in various Indonesian and Asia Pacific business and legal associations. Each of the partners has spent time either working or studying offshore and is attuned to the requirements of both local and international business party.

SJD has enjoyed an association with Blake Dawson (BD), a leading Australian law firm, since SJD’s establishment in 1988. BD is one of Australia’s largest, full service, national law firms, which has provided excellence in legal services for more than 150 years. It has over 180 partners and more than 1200 staff.

In 2006, MWSA Law Offices, a successful commercial Jakarta law firm, was merged into SJD. As a result, SJD now has 40 lawyers, including 8 partners and 4 foreign legal consultants. This provides SJD with a great depth of resources to support the growth of its practice in Indonesia and in the Asian region generally.
